Agrosilver Value project (Erasmus+) delivering video training materials for agroecology

Agrosilver project “Integrating silver knowledge from agroecology into the VET systems” has already launched the recording of video material that will support teachers in the improvement of the digital contents of their lessons.

Agrosilver expects the recording of more than 1.000 minutes of video education materials which will cover different aspects of the agroecology. These videos will be freely available to be used by teachers, students and training centres in their lessons. Videos will come from different EU countries, all of them counting on subtitles in several languages to increase the transferability and usability of the training materials.

Agrosilver Value project (Erasmus+) promoting the training in agroecology

Agrosilver project “Integrating silver knowledge from agroecology into the VET systems” has been launched in September 2020 and the partners has been gathered in the first technical workshop.

This project, AgroSilver Value, provides a new approach for the development of knowledge in the agriculture sector.  The project tools can support teachers and students in their daily work with agroecology,  by providing new attractive content, 100% video content and work-based. With the provided tools, the agricultural teaching will be more attractive, both for the teacher and the student.

Platform of Agreoecology Videos

This Platform is a compilation of videos related to agroecology, based on the real experiences and testimonies of farmers, silver farmers and teachers, gathered in a structured online database, where the videos are stored and indexed with labels for a better identification.

The search portal allows to filter by labels, by keywords, or just use the automatic searching machine, resulting in a list of proposed videos on the selected thematic.

Videos Software

The software, integrated in the platform, will allow you to:

  1. Read the audio content of the video.
  2. Transform the audio into text, creating subtitles and storing the data.
  3. Translate the subtitles into main EU language.
  4. Create automatic labelling of the video, identifying main topics and video thematic.

The project tools are delivery freely for any interested teacher or student, because they are developed under the European project of cooperation “Agrosilver Value” which has been funded by the European Commission through the Eramus+ programme.

Agrosilver Value, creating videos to learn agroecology

Project has been launched in 2020
Agrosilver Value is an initiative funded by the European Union

Video are currently the present preferred format for people interaction. Following Youtube 2021 report, everyday people watch one billion hours of videos on YouTube and generate billions of views. In other words, if every single person on earth watched a video on youtube, that’s more than 8 minutes per day per person.

Another interesting fact is that searches related to the term “how to” are growing 70 % year over year (searchengineland 2020). This means that when users are searching for ways to learn something, they rely on video content.

This site is designed for people interested in Agroecology. The partners of this project, funded by the Erasmus+ Program, have developed tools and contents for farmers and teachers interested in increasing their knowledge on Agroecology.

In this site you can find video resources, video training material and video tools which will allow you to increase your knowledge and also improve the way you teach other people about agro ecology.
